DAMSEL OF THE HAWK is in pre-order at Amazon and Smashwords!

I'm very excited about my new release, DAMSEL OF THE HAWK - Curse of the Lost Isle Book 7 (standalone) - Medieval Fantasy Romance. Although the release date is April 20 2016, it's already in pre-order:

1204 AD - Meliora, immortal Fae and legendary damsel of Hawk Castle, grants gold and wishes on Mount Ararat, but must forever remain chaste. When Spartak, a Kipchak warrior gravely wounded in Constantinople, requests sanctuary, she breaks the rule to save his life. The fierce, warrior prince stirs in her forbidden passions. Captivated, Spartak will not bow to superstition. Despite tribal opposition, he wants her as his queen. Should Meliora renounce true love, or  embrace it and trigger a sinister curse... and the wrath of the Goddess? Meanwhile, a thwarted knight and his greedy band of Crusaders have vowed to steal her Pagan gold and burn her at the stake...

HAPPY READING!

BWL Blurbathon - Deadly Secrets by Jude Pittman

Deadly Secrets by Jude Pittman

Welcome to Indian Creek, Texas, where you'll meet some amazing characters. Kelly McWinter, a retired cop who suffered a personal tragedy that caused him to quit the force. Kelly's dog, Jake, a German Shepherd who has fought some battles of his own, and Cameron G. Belscher III, owner of the Hideaway Bar and Barbecue and Kelly’s best friend.

A Clint Eastwood, John Wayne type of guy, Kelly has been coming to grips with his personal grief and is once again feeling the pull to return to law enforcement.  That decision escalates when he and Jake find one of the Hideaway’s favourite characters dead on the floor of the flea market.

Coincidences, the emergence of a secret life, a treasure, an heiress searching for her birth mother and the ulterior motives of some of the Creek’s own citizens all have Kelly scrambling to uncover the truth before his best friend ends up being convicted of a crime that Kelly is positive he didn’t commit.

"Deadly Secrets is a mystifying tale with several twists and turns and an ending that surprised me. This book has an old-fashioned detective story feel to it that is charming and complements the small town atmosphere... the story had a good flow, with well fleshed out characters and I would look forward to reading more suspense from this author." ~ Fallen Angel Reviews

Judi McCoy, Romance Author, Rest in Peace

Judi McCoy was scheduled to autograph her books with a bunch of us at the Glendale Chocolate Affaire in Arizona, the first weekend of February, as she has done for the past many years. We always rejoiced at her presence, enjoyed her humor, and looked forward to the informative workshop she would give after the event, for the members of the Valley of the Sun Romance Writers, of which she remained a member, despite living in Virginia.

When we learned last fall that she was in the hospital in a diabetic coma, we still hoped. Then it became obvious that she would not join us for the Chocolate Affaire this year. At the event, we all signed a huge get well card for her, wishing her a successful recovery, and telling her how much we missed her at this traditional event of romance and chocolate.

For there was no one like Judi to write romantic comedies. She even included many four-legged characters, and her dog walker series was a smashing success. Hounding the Pavement became such a hit that television wanted to make a series of it. Not only Judi liked dogs, but she rescued them and adopted a few mistreated mutts to give them a loving home.

We shall miss you, Judi, and I hope that there are lots of pooches in the great beyond where you still write the kind of romantic comedies that steal our hearts.

Rest in Peace.
