BWL BLURBATHON - My Mozart - Juliet Waldron

MY MOZART - by Juliet Waldron

My Mozart, a new release from Juliet Waldron, author of the highly acclaimed Mozart's Wife

Mozart was her teacher, her mentor, her rescuer--and, finally, fatally, her lover. ..

At dawn, in the marble palace of a Prince, a nine-year-old sings for Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, then at the peak of his career. Always delighted by musical children, he accepts Nanina as a pupil. Gifted, intense and imaginative, she sees the great "Kapellmeister Mozart” as an avatar of Orpheus and her own, personal divinity.

His lessons are irregular and playful, but the teacher/pupil bond grows strong. Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro premieres, and Nanina, now twelve, is given a solo part. For her, this is the beginning of a long stage career. For Mozart, it marks the start of his ruin. His greatest works will be composed in poverty and obscurity.

During the composer’s last summer, his wife has left him. Chronically in debt and suffering the emotional isolation of genius, he takes refuge with his disreputable Volksoper friends, who want him to write a “peasant opera” for their audience. Nanina, now grown, and still in love with Mozart, is among their number. As he seeks solace among the women of the Volksoper, the charms of his young fan become increasingly alluring. No one, least of all the composer, understands the depth of her obsession or how a brief affair will permanently alter her life.

BWL BLURBATHON - Savage Posession by Margaret Tanner

Want to try something different and worthwhile? Here is a suggestion from my publisher Books We Love (BWL).

SAVAGE POSESSION by Margaret Tanner

Note: In 2008, with a title of Storm Girl, Savage Possession was a Semi-Finalist in the Amazon Break Through Novel Award.

Raw sexual emotion, revenge and redemption. If you want a sugar-coated romance, Savage Possession is not for you. In colonial Australia it took hard men like Martin Mulvaney to tame a harsh land.

A sweeping tale of love's triumph over tragedy and treachery in frontier Australia.

A mistaken identity opens the door for Martin Mulvaney to take his revenge on the granddaughter of his mortal enemy.
An old Scottish feud, a love that should never have happened, and a series of extraordinary coincidences traps two lovers in a family vendetta that threatens to destroy their love, if not their lives.

HAPPY READING.

COMING in 2013 from Vijaya Schartz

Well, it's not going to be much sci-fi this year, as I am still working on my edgy medieval fantasy series, Curse of the Lost Isle. You may want to try it if you liked the medieval feel of the Chronicles of Kassouk series. Although it's set in Europe in the early middle ages, there is much action, adventure, and romance, battle scenes with swords and horses, and unexpected plot twists, and dangerous villains. The next book (4) is LADY OF LUXEMBOURG, scheduled for January 2013. Another book in the series (5) will appear in the fall probably under the title Chatelaine of Forez.

Still, on the Science Fiction front, there will be BOREALIS 9 - A novella with Desert Breeze Publishing, scheduled for release in September 2013. If you remember, they published my contribution titled BLACK DRAGON last year, in this series set on the Borealis space station. I love the universe of this decrepit space station at the fringe of the known universe.

The new novella I'm writing for this series is tentatively titled RONIN (masterless samurai) and will include a romance, of course.

On the paperback front, after WHITE TIGER and RED LEOPARD, Book 3 of the Chronicles of Kassouk is also coming to print in February. More books in the series will follow in paperback as well in 2013.

Then in 2014, expect the very last (promised) addition to the CHRONICLES OF KASSOUK series. Yet untitled, it will feature a spaceshift from Old Earth rediscovering the planet where the series takes place. Since the human culture on New Earth has evolved in a different direction, it will be interesting to see how these to originally same cultures new get along, or do not. Of course, this will be a romance as well, with plenty of conflict as well as sensuality. I so enjoy the world of Kassouk that I'm looking forward to writing this last book. It will be number five. The entire series will then have six books including the prequel.

So, as you can see, my plate is full, and I'm writing my fingers to the bone to satisfy all my readers, who, I know, are eagerly awaiting the next book. Hope you enjoy them all. In the meantime, visit my pages at Amazon, B&N and other online places (links at the top right of this page). Make sure you read them all. Although they are in different genres, they all have the same characteristics... action, adventure, romance, plot twists, battles, and a guaranteed satisfying ending.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.
